Aviation and history events

Note on museum events: Plans for 2017 are to have talks at the museum every second Saturday of the month about WWI names represented in the museum. However, this being the centennial of the US entry into war, Andy Parks may not be available for all of these dates. Check back for updates.

 Thursday, April 6th - Saturday April 8th

Second Saturday NOT at the VAFM - 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF US ENTRY INTO WORLD WAR I. Three days of events at at Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum commemorating centennial of US entry into WWI including talk by Andy Parks who may come dressed as a WWI aviator. Woodrow Wilson re-enactor to explain how the US entered the war. See other Colorado commemoration events at the Colorado WWI Centennial Commission.

Friday, May 19th

(Private) Meeting of the Order of Daedalians - "The Daedalians honor, as its Founder Members, all WWI aviators who were commissioned as officers and rated as military pilots."

Saturday, May 20th

THIRD Saturday at the VAFM - Annual fly-in at the VAFM! Noon talk by Andy Parks. WWI reenactors, WWI truck. Free admission, $5 hot dog lunch

Saturday, June 10th

Second Saturday at the VAFMMuseum open 10AM - 2PM. 12:15 talk by Andy Parks especially for auto enthusiasts: What did BMW have to do with Fokker? Free admission, $5 hot dog lunch.
